Older than the elder brother Chianti, the Mugello is an unspoilt territory where the still pure medieval and Renaissance air is breathed.

The territory of Mugello is just a few kilometres north of Florence. The Mugello is a wide green valley crossed by a stretch of the river Sieve, one of the main tributaries of the Arno, the principal river of Tuscany. The Mugello is bordered to the north by a stretch of the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines, to the south by Monte Giovi and Monte Senario and the Calvana Mountains to the west. Of Mugello will hit the richness of the nature of the territory and the variety of the landscape, which sees alternating flat areas, hilly stretches and mountainous areas, not to mention the villages and Medicean residences. The Mugello is really a territory to discover!

For this reason we have organized two itineraries to make you discover at best this beautiful territory in all its faces. We will take you to discover one of the most beautiful golf courses in Tuscany, a stone's throw from Florence: Poggio dei Medici Golf Club, www.golfpoggiomedici.com

And then we will make you appreciate the ancient culinary traditions and we will guide you in a winetastings with wines of the territory.

Here's the program:

the meeting point will be at 8.30 am. We come to pick you up directly at your hotel, or at the private house where you stay. The transfer lasts about 45 minutes and will take place in luxury van with 8 seats with driver/expert guide dedicated to you. During the transfer, you will be shown everything you need to know about the golf course you are going to challenge and also your guide will introduce you to the history of the places and the Territory, as well as to the traditional culinary and wine-growing delicacies of the area, To prepare for the best of the day you will spend,

The arrival at the Golf club Poggio dei Medici is scheduled for 9.15 am and there you will be greeted with a coffee and you will be assisted by our guide for all the operations of registration to the field, collection key locker, delivery bags, cart etc... You will not have to worry about anything, you just have to concentrate and be ready to face 18 wonderful and difficult holes!

The tee time is scheduled for 10.00 am. Before starting from the hole 1 it will be possible to practice in driving range, for a small training , or if necessary, you can ask for the Maestro Pro, for a short lesson. During the 18 hole game, you will be assisted by our caddy, to make the best of the game itself and to have if necessary some advice. A small lunch with Buvette is provided at Hole 9. After the game, around 16.00, you will be welcomed into one of the most beautiful rooms of the golf club to immerse yourself in a sensory experience based on local food and wines. During your late lunch you will be guided by our sommelier through a winetastings with selected wines, to know and appreciate to the best the typical food of the area and its combination with the wines of local producers. Departure from Poggio Medici planned at around 5:30 pm and return to Florence at 6:30 pm.

For non-players, you can stay at the resort

and use the pools (only in the summer months), the gym, or book an aesthetic treatment at the spa. Nearby the golf club there is also the Barberino village outlet, a shopping mall with the best brands, and we can arrange a visit there.

Inside the resort golf club there is also a golf clothing and equipment shop.

Not included in the price of the package: massages and beauty treatments at the spa, lesson with Maestro Pro. Included in the package Price: transfer from/to Florence in luxury van, green fee 18 holes, driving range with unlimited balls, golf equipment (Taylor made bag and irons), cart, light lunch and dinner, winetasting, dressing use (including towel and Shower shampoo), swimming pool, gym.

Necessary equipment and clothing required: For players you require clothing appropriate to the game of golf, including shoes and glove. For non-players you require casual clothing and make sure you have adequate clothing in case they want to use the swimming pool (costume and slippers) or the gym (jumpsuit and sneakers). For the winetastings and dinner you require casual or elegant clothing of your choice.
